With globalisation and the present economic challenges a reality, the quarrying sector needs to acquire the latest knowledge on environmental-friendly and state-of-the-art technology to stay competitive whilst maintaining the growth momentum of this important industrial sector for a sustainable tomorrow. The quarrying industry has always been acknowledged worldwide as the foundation in the design and the construction of various innovative structures, infrastructures and amenities aimed towards global sustainability and society enhancement. This economic sector is thus the vital catalyst and component of any country worldwide striving for industrialised and developed nation status. For further business enhancement, the quarrying industry worldwide thus has to project an efficient quality assurance with respect to effective implementation of the latest environmental-friendly and innovative technology at site locally and globally to achieve favorable economic and sustainability acceptance by the clients and the global community worldwide.

The theme for this year’s timely high-impact quarrying conference and exhibition is ‘Environmental and Technological Advances in Quarrying (ETAQ 2015)’. Based on the outstanding track record and high response of the private and public sectors for past IQM Conferences; this year’s ETAQ 2015 Quarrying Conference and Exhibition is definitely going to further advance the quarrying industry to another level of world-class excellence. Innovative and practical quality environmental and technological strategies would be another global asset in transforming the existing practices in the dynamic quarrying sector towards greater world first excellence.

Highlights of some of the pioneer and innovative environmental and technological enhancements in quarrying technology and practices expected to be presented at ETAQ 2015 Quarrying Conference and Exhibition are: ‘Economic Energy-efficient Technology’, ‘Efficient Rock Fragmentation/Blasting’, ‘State-of-the-Art Transport Technology’, ‘Unique DTH Drilling Setup’, ‘Novel Mineral Processing Plant and Processes’; complemented with topics on ‘Latest innovations in Quarry Practices’, ‘Resourceful Occupational Safety and Health (OSH)’, ‘Success stories in Quarry Rehabilitation’ and ‘Quality-enhanced Environmental Management’.

With so many innovative environmental and technological topics for presentation at ETAQ 2015, this high-status event is definitely the de-facto quarrying conference for all directly and indirectly contributing towards the successful progress of this prestigious economic sector. The main objective of ETAQ 2015 is to allow the regional government agencies and various international industry captains a high-profile platform to present various innovative technology and success stories to enhance the quarrying industry; complemented by also the avenue for networking at the local, regional and international level…a ‘win-win’ scenario for all.
