  • Exercise: Completing a Ryodoraku Graph

    Instructions:

    1. On the attached chart, plot the following measurements:

(The two lung measurements are already plotted to get you started.)

    2. Now add the 24 measurements and divide by 24 to obtain the average (mean.) Be careful in your calculations.

    3. Make a horizontal line across the chart at the mean (use the “average” scales on the far left and far right ends of the chart.)

    4. Now plot a horizontal line 15 points above and 15 points below the mean.

    5. Identify any splits by circling them. (A split is defined as 25 or more points difference between the right and left sides of the same meridian.)

    6. Identify any excessive meridians by circling the plots where both measurements are above the upper limit line. If only one of two measurements for any meridian is above the line, do not count it as excessive.

    7. Identify any deficient meridians by circling the plots where both measurements are below the lower limit line. If only one of two measurements for any meridian is below the line, do not count it as deficient.

    8. Now choose the appropriate treatment points according to the principles of basic graphing, as presented in this seminar. Write your solution below:
