industry units with the equal representation of

Qualification for election n votingy For election -
a) a person must not be less than 19 yrs of age
b) He should be in a service of not less than one year inan industrial establishment
y For voting workmen who has put in a continuousservice of not less than 6 months are entitled to vote.

Procedure for electiony Closing date of nominations is fixed by employery Date for election shall be fixedy Nomination papers must be submitted in a prescribed
formaty Scrutiny of nomination papersy Withdrawl of candidature with in 48 hours of the
completion of scrutinyy If the number of nominated candidates is equal to number
of seats then candidates are duly electedy If number exceeds then voting shall takes placey Arrangements made by employersy Casting of single vote

months during the working hours.
y Half yearly progress report of works committee shouldbe submitted by employer to the conciliation officer intriplicate.

Dissolution of works committeeyWorks committee may be dissolved at any time, by an
order in writing by the central govt. or an appropriate
authority on its behalf. The appropriate authorityconducts proper enquiry and order for dissolution
