The Warsaw Old Town Route runs through the historic centre and theoldest (12th century) part of the city. It constitutes the cultural centre ofthe capital city. Two historic squares – the Old Town Market and the NewTown Market – are transformed during the summer into a musical stageon which highly appreciated jazz concerts take place, a theatre arena, andan open-air art gallery. Atthe end they will visit the Museum of Life under Communism where theywill experience a small apartment furnished in socialist style, a communistparty member’s office, a shop, a bar and a street from the era. Themuseum shows how people used to live and watch propaganda movies ofthe 1950s.
