She has traveled to Malaysia on several oc- casions for training. She has been featured on the cover of Seni Beladiri Magazine in Malaysia twice, has written several articles for various magazines, has given numerous demonstrations in the United States and Malaysia. She has consulted for History Channel's "Human Weapon: Silat" episode, and also for Na- tional Geographic Asia's award winning program, "Fight Mas- ters: Silat." She is the highest ranked women in Gayong outside of South East Asia, and holds the title of "Sri Kandi." Cikgu Jen Para Silat—Work Shop Teddie Linder is head instructor & founder of TigerLily Eastern Arts in Indianapolis, Indiana. She began her martial arts career as a t’ai chi student in 1993 and soon began studying Aikido as well. She earned her 1 st degree black belt in 1997, and now holds the rank of Yondan (4 th degree black belt), and is certified to teach by the International Yoshinkan Aikido Foundation. After 20 years, the martial arts have become a fixture in her life and she is con- stantly learning anew the principles of the martial arts. Sensei Teddie Linder—Aikido Work Shop A 44 year veteran of martial arts, Jaye Spiro was a founding member of the National Women’s Martial Arts Federation and its first chair in 1983-87. She is the director of Mejishi Martial Arts, in Ferndale, Michigan and holds a 7 th degree Black Belt in Ai Mute Shoto-kan Karate and a 6 th Degree Black Belt in Mod- ern Arnis.
