Lord Jesus, thank you for becoming man like me.You were not a God who just watched us from adistance. Rather, you became one of us that wemay become like you. Thank you Jesus for yourcompassion. Amen.

Part of the Angels message to Mary was that her cousin

Elizabeth was pregnant. Of course we all know that the childin Elizabeths womb was St. John the Baptist.

Let us now travel to the hill country of Judea and visitElizabeths house as Our Lady did.

Even before you were born, your presence had already beena source of joy for others. Jesus, help me to becompassionate to the needy. May I have the courage to goout of my way to help those who are in need, because you

are present in those people who need most my help.

May my heart always echo your Blessed Mothers song of

praise, that as I praise God for the graces he has given me, Imay also be reminded that those graces have to be shared,

    especially to the needy. Amen.

descendant of King David, he had togo to Bethlehem in Judea, Davids

ancient home. He traveled there fromthe village of Nazareth in Galilee. Hetook with him Mary, his fiance, whowas obviously pregnant by this time. And while they were there, the timecame for her baby to be born. She

gave birth to her first child, a son. Shewrapped him snugly in strips of clothand laid him in a manger, becausethere was no room for them in thevillage inn.
