Eaa EEEEaaEEEEEEaaaaaaaaad EEaadddd ESTEESSEEEE TTChairperson’s Address....

Welcome, Everyone, to Headfest 2019! Once again we have a programme full of music, community, sports and arts events, as our community festival continues to grow from strength to strength! We’re delighted to see a few additions this year – a cookery demonstration, and a community yoga event, along with the usual favourites, and the return of the Headfest charity Tractor, Truck and Vintage Run, which we hope will raise much needed funds for Ability West. The Art Exhibition and the Photographic Exhibition are also back, and are open to all for submissions by contacting those mentioned in the information below. If you’re thinking you might like to submit, let me take this opportunity to tell you, you definitely should! We’d love to have you. Community and inclusivity is what the festival is all about. As before, the Headfest continues to be driven by the community, with the generous support of Monaghan's Headford, and Monaghan's Skoda & Seat, who are our main sponsors for the Monaghan's Big Red Barn events on our programme, along with Campbell's Tavern, Joyce's Hardware, AC Tyres and Bridge Signs.Once again, the festival is being organised in partnership with Moyne Villa F.C., who provide a wonderful location for The Big Red Barn to return to. This year we have four nights of music at the barn, featuring some big names on the local and national music scenes. Tickets for all events are available at Monaghan's Headford, The Trading Post, Pot Luck and AC Tyres, or on eventbrite.ie and our website, Headfest.ie.On behalf of the committee, I’d like to express our thanks to all of the volunteers and clubs and groups that organise and run events during the festival, and who also work tirelessly all year round. Your contribution to the life of this town cannot be overstated, and we truly appreciate all that you do. Le meas, Liam McDonagh
