GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Saint Paul talks about "different kinds of spiritual gifts" and 'different forms of service, but the same Lord" (1Corinthias 12: 4). Yet spiritual gifts and service can be mismatched.
Think of John, head of the finance committe for fifteen years. He was a succesful busimessman, and he dominated the finance committe meetings. John's abilities needed a difffrent challenge. The new pastor invited him to begin a "welcome Home" ministry for lapsed Catholics. John has new energy and enthusiam in matching his planning skills with hospitality.
Alice disked teaching parish religion class. Chatting with another teacher, Alice said she had just arranged her third dauthergs' wedding. Her frien synmpathized with all the hard work. Alice said, "Oh no, I just love wedding!" Alice now leads the parish wedding coordinators and enjoys the work very much.
The spiritual lives of John and Alice are enriched because their service matches their abilities, and that servce is adding new strengh to theri parish community.

Junio 7, es la festividad de la Santísima Trinidad y Junio 14, Celebraremos Corpus Christi y Junio 19, tendremos la festividad del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús.
LOS DONES DEL ESPIRITU SANTO
San Pablo habla sobre "diferentes dones, pero el mismo Espíritu" y "diferentes servicios, pero el Señor es el mismo" (1 Corintios 12:4). Pero los dones espirituales y el servicio pueden estar desemparejados. Pongamos como ejemplo a Juan, coordinador del comité de finanzas por los pasados quince anos. Un hombre de negocios con éxito que controlaba las reuniones del comité de finanzas. Era obvio que las habilidades de Juan debían utilizarse en un servicio diferente. Su nuevo párroco lo invito a comenzar el ministerio de "Bienvenidos a Casa" para los Católicos alejados. Juan tiene ahora una nueva energía y un entusiasmo renovado, pues sus aptitudes de planificación emparejan bien con la hospitalidad. A Alicia no le gustaba dar clases de religión en la parroquia. Hablando con otra maestra, Alicia le conto que acababa de hacer los preparativos para la boda de sus hija. Su amigo se compadeció de todo el trabajo. Pero Alicia le dijo: "! Oh, a mi me encantan las bodas! Alicia se siente feliz hoy siendo la coordinadora de las bodas en su parroquia. La vida espiritual tanto de Juan como de Alicia se han enriquecido, pues el servicio que prestan empareja bien con sus habilidades y su parroquia también se ha enriquecido. The disciples were cowering behind locked doors. Fear has a way of imprisoning, away from the outer world, but also from our inner world, taking away our freedom to hope, imagine. We can become comfortable working in cramped spaces, isolated an unattached, removed from life and contact with others. But then along comes the risen Lord, arms outstretched, heart wide open, bearing gifts to transform our lives. The first gift of the risen Lord is peace (shalom), which translates as all good things, physically, mentally, and spirituality- all that is needed to be alive inside. This peace is a gift that the world cannot give. The second gift is a mission: we are sent, as Jesus was sent, by the Father. Where? To the world. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world but in order that the world might be saved through him" (John 3: 16-19). Now the Son sends the disciples-us! - to bring life. The third gift is the Holy Spirit, given for the forgiveness of sins. The Holy Spirit is the gifts of the Father and the Son, given to us at baptism, again at confirmation, and whose gifts are given to the church and its members for the good of all, within and outside the church.
