Dear Valued Customers,

Please take note that starting from 2015 ww30, an additional manufacturing line will be introduced for the following Lumiledsproduct:- LUXEON 3030 2D

Lumileds will be ready to ship LUXEON 3030 2D production parts from both existing and new manufacturing lines under the same part numbers and 12NCs. We will continue to use reel Lot ID to provide full traceability for both existing and new manufacturing

section for related part number list and more details.

Lumileds is poised to adopt this new manufacturing line in order to provide our customer additional volume flexibility and better assurance of supply

Summary

• Lumileds will be adding new manufacturing lines to argument our Mid-Power

manufacturing capability.

• The new manufacturing lines will provide our customers additional volume flexibility in

addition to better assurance of supply.

• In order to accommodate multiple manufacturing line process flow, Lumileds will

implement a minor change to our current labeling standard

• The new label standard will increase traceability and streamline the label process flow

– There will be no reduction of information currently provided by labels

– Unique reel Lot ID will continue provide full tracibility regardless of manufacturing line

or part number

• This change will be implemented as running change for selected part numbers as we

phase out our old labeling standard

packed and labeled based on L1 Spec

• When Kitted Orders or Custom Bins are ordered, the appropriate L1 parts are

• Lumileds provides barcoded part numbers for the both the 12NC and the Sales Part Number

which the customer has ordered

• Under the new labeling process flow, this will not change

• The main visible difference is L1 customers will note an additional label on the MBB Bag in

addition to the Platform Family name on the MBB Bag, Kit Box and Shipment Box Labels

• L1.5 & CL1R customers will see only see the addition of the platform information

• Theirs is no loss of information provided or barcode functionality

• All L1, L1.5 & CL1R Shipments will have two labels on their MBB Bags

• The first label reproduces exactly the reel label

• The second label contains the Customer’s ordered part number (e.g. L1, L1.5 or CL1R)

– For L1.5 labels, the reel install position is also included

Kit Box Label

• All kitted products are packed in customized kit boxes for easy transportation to the

production floor. For a 2-Up Kit, the box will only contain 2 reels; For 4-Up, 4 reels

• Each Kit Box contains a Kit Box label which has a unique Kit Lot ID which is linked to

each Reel Lot ID of the kit
