Accommodation for Boys & GirlsHostel Facility

With an aim to provide residential facilities to the students. the

university provides separate hostel for boys and girls . Theaffectionate, cooperative, warm and affable atmosphere for about 200 inmates is a place akin to home. It provides cleanenvironment, nutritious food, airy and specious rooms. Themotherly care provided by hostel warden gives not only warmatmosphere to the students but also provides them security. Aregular checkup of the students is done by the fortnight visit of the doctor. Apart from the good, hygienic and sumptuous foodthe hostel also provides recreational facility like indoor andoutdoor games, T.V. etc. Special guidance in health throughyoga and meditation keeps the students fit and strong. Hostel

nights and various festivals are celebrated with zest on themeof dance, skits and songs.

Library Facility & Reading Rooms

The library includes large number of books, national periodicals,event reports news journals etc. the library aims to facilitate

production and dissemination of knowledge, information, insightsand intellectual contribution in all areas of education among theacademic and business community. The Universitys library has a

Book Bank Scheme for both UG and PG students, in which a set of text books are loaned to the students for use, during the academicyear .

Laboratories

The university has zoology, botany, microbiology, chemistry, biotechnology, computer, home science,geography, fine arts, psychology & language lab which are well equipped and well designed with updatedtechnology for U.G. as well as P.G. students.

In this context the university have honoured MsGurmeet Baba, Ms Sanjeevni and Mr. Vishnu Mohan Bhatt in the field of Music. The recreation programare organized and also the Indian festivals are celebrated with great enthusiasm.

Along with the taut curriculum the university students are kept abreastwith the latest information through visits to Biodiversity parks,Arboretums Botanical gardens and Biotechnological institutes. Thestudents are taken for industrial visits to Effluent treatment plants,Beverage industries etc. Excursions and tours are planned for instituteslike National Research Center for Mushroom (NRCH), SolanBrewery(HP), Potato Research Institute (SHIMLA),IMTECH(Chandigarh), Parle, Ashok Leyland for advanced andapplied knowledge of science. The students knowledge is updatedthrough conduction of debates, seminars class representation. Guestlectures are organized in various fields.
