2017 is just about over and I know that many of

you schedule your state shows this time of year.

Our 2018 Trade Show will be held at the

University of West Alabama on March 28th &

29th. We had the show there last year and I

think that we have fixed the problem areas.

The classes and exhibitor space will be in Bibb

Graves, across the street from last year.

Exhibitors will have “table top” booths just

outside the classrooms. This should provide

good “traffic” for our exhibitors. Heavy

equipment can be parked at the end of Bibb

Graves and we will provide “tailgate” tents

outside. Sherry Bradley (ADPH) will send as

many of her folks as possible and we will try to

get the Engineers that specialize in wastewater

to Livingston. I expect that our turnout of

licensees, engineers, and environmentalists will

be much better than last year. This will be a

super opportunity to visit our training center for

those of you that haven’t been there.

World renowned Chef Alan Nipp from Infiltrator will treat all of us to a Bar B Q lunch and AOWA

will have a fish fry at our Training Center Thursday night for our Board members and the

exhibitors. The highlight of the show last year was the fantastic BBQ provided by Infiltrator. All in

all, our show should be a lot of fun and productive for you.

The biggest downside to our show will be a shortage or motel rooms in the area. The Comfort

Inn in Livingston (about $99 a night 205-652-4839) and America’s Best Inn in York (about $50 a

night 205-392-9675) are the two closest motels. We have blocked a limited number of rooms at

each motel. Reservations should be made as soon as possible and our block of rooms will

“expire” 30 days prior. When you call for reservations, use Kristie Frost as the “password” to get

one of the blocked rooms. Nicer accommodations are available in Meridian, MS about 30

minutes away. There are 9 spaces available for campers on campus.

I sure hope to see all of you in Livingston. All displays shipped to UWA must arrive a week prior

to the Trade Show because the University mail room is closed for spring break. Please call if I can
