MALNUTRITION

What is malnutrition? It is a condition that results

from eating a diet in which certain nutrients are lacking, in excess (too high an intake), or in the wrong proportions.it is technically a category of diseases that includes undernutrition, obesity and overweight, and micronutrient deficiency. It causes lot of diseases among the people like tubercluosis,cancer,diabetes,pneumonia,anemia,condiovoncular etc…

How to make people aware of

malnutrition… T.v adds and newspaper adds :- a brief information about

malnutrition can be given through newspapre and television adds..

Free workshops :-a free of cost workshop can organise in rural and slum areas to make people aware of the problem.

Social clubs :- a social clubs or oragnisation should be there in school and colleges to make students aware of the situations.

Social networking sites :- a small step can be taken through social networking site to overcome the problem.

HOW TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM

OF IMPROPER FEEDING

Newly mother should taught to feed their babies at least for 3 months after their birth.

Trend of milk powder should be remove which is not at all nutritious.

Cattle milk should be pure water should not be

added to it.

HOW TO REMOVE ILLITERACY

Govt. should provide mid-day meal in schools in slum areas so that it can attract children to get education.

Teachers in schools along with bookish knowledge should also give light on malnutrition.

In colleges various social clubs should be made to provide knowledge about nutrition while going to near by villages.

Poor sanitation

Improper sanitation causes many diseases which results in health hazards.

broken roads are filled with water during rainy season which causes ( malaria, diarrhea , etc. ) dangerous diseases.

Stored water in houses cause different types of diseases

The whole area or society should be kept neat and clean and

proper sewage facilities should be there.

There should be proper sanitation facility.

Maternity leave

During the period of pregnancy a lady needs proper care of her as well as child’s health there should not be work load and any kind of pressure (mental or physical).

Generally in private jobs there is no criteria of maternity leave

which causes bad effect on health of mother as well as child. A proper maternity leave should be given to a pregnant lady as

per requirement. There are many acts for maternity leave in indian constitution but it should

also regulate in private sector not only in government sector.

Gender difference

One of the reasons that causes malnutrition is discrimination on the basis of gender.

People in villages want male child and they don’t provide proper diet to their girl child which causes lack of nutrition

to root out malnutrition discrimination on the basis of gender should stop.

Economic background

People who comes under BPL category are not able to have proper or balance diet .

Government should provide nutrient rich food to such people who comes under BPL category.

Food of FCI (food corporation of india) should be pure there is no mixing of pebbles and sand in pulses or rice.

Government should provide rashan card to such peoples and on the basis of that card nutrient rich food can easily distribute among the peoples.
