Field notes

» There are several super senior “rookies” to watch at Danville, including 13-time

VSGA champion David Partridge (Hermitage CC), past VSGA Four-Ball champion

Jack Allara (Hidden Valley CC) and reigning Super Senior Four-Ball champion Jim

Woodson (Mill Quarter Plantation), who just turned 66 but was not yet 65 when

the event was held last year.

» Roday is the only past champion in the field at Danville.

» Another player to watch is Tim Vigotsky (Robert Trent Jones GC), who won the 65

and over title at last year’s VSGA Super Senior Amateur.

» Three members at Danville Golf Club are in the field: Barry Shea, Harry Lea,

Wright Garrett and Doug Kendrick. Shea and Lea are both past presidents of the

VSGA’s Board of Directors.
