Telegraph positions
The following 11 telegraph steps are
indicated with light diodes:.
• Ahead:Deadslow,slow,half,full,
navigationfull
• Stop
• Astern:Deadslow,slow,half,full,
emergency astern
Additionally,thelevercanbemoved
betweenthestepsaswellforadjusting
command.Itisalsopossibletousea
netuningmechanismonthetouch
display.
Sub telegraph modes
Thesub-telegraphfunctionsareused
toinformtheenginecrewabouttheir
stateofalert,andsubsequentneedfor
propulsiveandelectricpower.

Description
AcombinedlevertypeEngine
Telegraph&speedsetunitenablesthe
operatoronthebridgetobeindirect
commandoftheshipbyproviding
speed and rotation control of the main
engine.Communicationisestablished
betweenthebridge,theenginecontrol
room and local stand via the telegraph
system.
Theunitisdesignedwithatouch
sensitivescreen,apush-button,and
acombinedtelegraphandspeedset
leverwithredundantspeedsettothe
Governor.

Command transfer
Thecommandtransferfunctioncanbe
foundonthetouchsensitivedisplay.
Buttonsareusedforbothindicating
currentcommandpositionand
command transfer.
Emergency stop
TheEmergencyStoppush-button
islocatedunderaprotectivecover.
This will activate the emergency stop
system in the main engine safety
system.
Touch screen lock
Whenactivatedtheleverwillmove
backtolockedsettingifmoved.
Wrong Way indicator
TheLTUisequippedwithaWrongWayindicator.Thealarmisreleasedif
the engine does not rotate in ordered
direction,whileinengineroom
control.
