A NOTE FROM DEACON GUY ST. SAUVEUR Dear Parishioners, Here’s some news to report! My wife, Sheila, and I are moving to a new home in Holliston this summer. Because of this move, I will be getting a new as-signment as a deacon. Sadly, we will be leaving St. Julia Parish. We are projecting our move for the end of July. I have advised the Archdiocese of this and they are working on a new assignment for me. This move is good for us in many ways. A significant reason is that it puts us closer to our two daughters and 7 of our grandchildren. Family is very important to both of us. That brings me to address another close family - St. Julia Parish - you! I was assigned here in the summer of 2011. I knew Fr Evans as one of my professors during Diaconate formation. He is a good man and a fine priest. I did not know the people of this parish. You welcomed both Sheila and me even though we were strangers. You had never been assigned a permanent deacon so that was also new to you. Again, you welcomed me. That welcome was genuine and kind. That gen-uine and kind relationship has grown over the years. Both Sheila and I have felt a part of your communi-ty. That friendship is what we will miss most. For a deacon it is all about the people. The calling is to serve the community in which we are assigned. Serving this community has been a privilege and honor. You have no idea how much I have grown through my experiences, friendships, support and care you have shared with me. As we prepare to move to a new community, know that you are in my prayers, my thoughts and my heart. Our Lord tells us that our relationship with Him will last to the end of time. Please know that you will be with me, and hopefully, a small piece of me will remain with you for many years to come. DeaconGuy

Sunday, June 4: Pentecost Happy Birthday to the Church! On Pentecost, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to help the disciples of Jesus start the new Christian Church. These disciples went out and told many people about Jesus. The people heard the stories of how Jesus healed people, forgave people, fed the hungry, and just loved them all. Then they heard how he had died, was buried, and then was resurrected! After he came back to life, he ate food with his disciples, and taught them more about love. Before Jesus returned to heaven, he gave the instructions to his disciples to tell everyone about that love, and that he would send the gift of his Spirit to help them do that. So Pentecost is the birthday of the Church, and the birthday gift is the Holy Spirit! Celebrate by singing Happy Birthday to the Church; having cake and ice cream for dessert, and reminding yourself of the presence of the Holy Spirit within you that you received at your Baptism! As a family, while you are eating your dessert, have everyone take a turn telling their favorite story about Jesus! Classes will start up again September 24/25. Registration forms will be made available online and in the parish churches this summer. Keep an eye on this bulletin for when they will become available! For further information, please contact Cindy Harrington at 781-899-8434 or [email protected].
