    1 OUTLINE

    1.1 Electrical Task

    In Electrical Task, mainly Cable Tray and Conduit Pipe are modeled. In addition, the cross sectional shape that is not registered in Cable Spec, called Cableway, can be modeled and used to input Cable Trench.

    Cable can also be modeled. Cable Tray, Conduit Pipe and Cableway can be specified as the path of Cable.

    Electrical Cable Tray, like the figure below, is arranged in SP3D.

    2.1 Route Cableway Command

    Cable Tray is to be positioned on Structure Beam at EL22400 mm.

    (1) From File > Define Workspace, set Filter to 2.1 Route Cable Tray.

    (2) Set Active Permission to Electrical and Active WBS to WBS_Project.

    (3) From the Menu, select Tasks > Electrical.

    (4) From Toolbar, left-click Route Cableway command.

    (5) From Common Toolbar, left-click Pin-Point Tool

    (6) To determine the origin of Pin-point, left-click Reposition Target

    (7) The grid intersection of EL 22.400 m should be set as Origin. To set the grid intersection point,

    middle-click the first grid and left-click on the second grid.

    (8) From the Pin-Point Tool ribbon bar, set E1000 mm, N-500 mm, El0 mm and left-click on the screen.

    (9) The dialog of New Cableway shall be set as shown below.

    (10) Category: shall be set to Cable Fill.

    (11) Key in 0.8 for Fill Efficiency, then the value will change to 80. Left-click on OK button.

    (12) From the ribbon bar, select Offset Set Offset Reference

    (13) Offset Reference Type shall be set to Cardinal Point. Then, select the Bottom point and left-click on OK button.

    (14) From the ribbon bar, set Width450 mm and Depth150 mm.

    z For the Width and Depth set here, the shape of Cable Tray will generate according to what was registered in the Catalog Spec of Cable Tray.

    z However, when the values specified are not registered in the Catalog Spec, Cableway will be

    generated in the form of a box in gray color.

    (15) From the Pin-Point Tool ribbon bar, set E1000 mm, N36500 mm, El0 mm and left-click on the screen.

    (16) Then, the next direction will be asked. Right-click on the screen to finish the command.

    (1) From Toolbar, left-click on Route Cableway command.

    (2) From Toolbar, activate Pin-Point Tool

    (3) To determine the origin of Pin-Pont Tool, left-click on Reposition Target

    (4) Set the intersection point of EL22.400 m as the origin. To set the intersection point, middle-click

    on the first grid and left-click on the second grid.

    (5) From the Pin-Point Tool ribbon bar, set N1500 mm and left-click on the Straight Feature of branch Cable Tray.

    (12) From the Pin-Point Tool ribbon bar, set E-950 mm and then left-click on the screen.

    (13) From the ribbon bar, set Plane: to No Plane.

    (14) Set Coordinate System to Global.

    (15) Left-click on Set Target to Origin to make the coordinates absolute.

    3 MODELING OF CONDUIT

    1 Conduit Pipe will be branched from Cable TrayELEC_A330_1002.

    3.1 Route Conduit Command

    (1) Set Electrical as Active Permission and WBS_Project as Active WBS.

    (2) From the menu, select Tasks > Electrical.

    (8) New Conduit Run dialog shall be set as shown below.

    (9) Category: shall be set to Cable Fill.

    (10) Key in 0.75 for Fill Efficiency, then the value will be changed to 75. Left-click on OK button.

    (17) Next, Pull Box must be placed. Left-click on Insert Component command

    (18) From Type, select Pullbox.

    (19) On the ribbon bar, set Reference position to Origin.

    (20) The part will be displayed dynamically. Left-click on Finish button.

    (21) The next direction will be asked, right-click on the screen to finish the command.

    3.2 Change to Conduit Elbow

    90 Degree Elbow generated automatically is to be changed to Conduit Bend.

    (1) On the Locate Filter, select Conduit Features.

    (2) From the scree, left-click on 90 Degree Elbow.

    Model the Cable from Control PanelECP-A330-1001to LightingHPSBT250-B1-01.

    In modeling the Cable, specify Cable Tray and Conduit for the route through which the Cable will pass.

    4.1 Insert Cable Command

    (1) Set Electrical for Active Permission and WBS_Project for Active WBS.

    (2) From the menu, select Tasks > Electrical.

    (3) From Toolbar, left-click on Insert Cable command.

    (4) Set the information on Cable Properties dialog as shown below.

    (5) For Originating Device, select the object from which the Cable will start.

    (6) For Terminating Device, select the object to which the Cable will end.

    (7) Left-click on OK button in the dialog, and a cable connecting from the Originating and Terminating Device will be generated on the screen.

    (8) From the ribbon bar, left-click Set Entry Point button.

    (9) From the screen, select Cableway End Feature of Electrical Cable Tray. Upon selection of the Cable Tray, the Ribbon Bar will move to or shift to Step of Select

    Cableway(s) automatically.

    (10) The Cable is directed in the direction of Cable Tray From the screen, select Cableway Straight Feature.

    (11) The direction in which Cable will pass is to be indicated or specified. From the screen, select Conduit Straight Feature.

    (12) From the ribbon bar, left-click on Accept Selection and the ribbon bar will move to Step of

    Set Exit Point automatically.

    (13) To specify the point where Cable must pass, specify the port of Pull Box, and Cable will be connected to Lighting.

    (14) Lastly, click on Finish to fix Cable Path.

    4.2 Confirming the Cable Path

    Usually, cable paths are not displayed on the screen.

    To confirm the routed Cable, the following methods are available.

    z To select Cable from Workspace Explorer z To select Cable from Cable Selection List

    4.2.1 Selection of Cable from Workspace Explorer

    (1) On the Locate Filter, select Cables.

    (2) Select Cable from Workspace Explorer and the Cable on the screen will be highlighted.

    4.2.2 Selection of Cable from Cable Selection List

    (1) From the toolbar, activate Edit Cable Path

    (2) Cable Selection List will be displayed.

    (3) From the list, select Cable and left-click on OK button, and the Cable on the screen will be

    highlighted.
