Shadow bakingShadow baking is now available in STELLAR render mode. It is also possible to create shadow baking groups and define occluders via query.

Culling in StellarThe geometry culling function (for front and back faces) is now available in STELLAR render mode.

Stellar MasksIt is possible to assign Material IDs to the RGB and A channels of layered images.

Polygon Reduction A new polygons decimator allow users to reduce the polygon count of marketing models while retaining high visual quality.

Model optimizerNew feature to simplify and optimize the master model for game engines, preserving functionalities and visual quality.

Metadata editorMetadata can now be assigned to objects, also thru the assignment tables. Metadata categories can be looked up via Scene tree filter.

Lightweight VR SupportGenerates stereoscopic panorama content for lightweight VR headsets via the Render export.

• New preference option to define the global texture path, to be usedwhen the texture paths could not be found from the .texturepath file.

• Creation of a group from a selection is now available

• New Converter option to load, edit and save Presets.

• While loading an ICEM file with display lists, it is possible to createvariants from the lists or to import only the active one.

• Look library enhancements (Number of selected looks shown intaskbar and Autofocus on selected look while name changed).

• DELTABATCH Assembly conversion enhancement: Assembliesand sub-assemblies (CATproduct, XPDMXML, PLMXML, asm) areconverted while the original parts are kept as linked files. This optionworks in combination with the “relocate” function for the linkedparts.

• Converter option “Struct by layer” supports CATIA layers.

• Imported geometry that was hidden in CATIA will be set invisible,faces to B-side in DELTAGEN.

• Copy a file link - directly open file location

• Background color is now editable in STELLAR.

• Direct Maya plugin now supports Autodesk® Maya 2018

• Direct Wire plugin now supports Autodesk® Alias 2018

The following are the required setup specifications for running DELTAGEN and DELTAVIEW and also for processing the 3D scenes that will be loaded.

Only NVIDIA® graphic cards are currently capable of displaying all visual effects and shaders created with our software. This cannot be guaranteed with graphic cards from other manufacturers. Visit our Software Services website for constantly updated information.

VERSION CHANGE AND COMPATIBILITY

When loading scenes from previous versions, DELTAGEN checks for ID consistency in the scene and informs about possible inconsistencies.

If duplicate IDs are identified, the user log contains a list of entities to which a new ID has been assigned. Those elements may have malfunctioned in animations, variants or networks in the old version and may need to be reassigned to their targets.

DASSAULT SYSTEMES LICENSE SERVER SUPPORT

In addition to FlexLM, the DS License Server (DSLS) is supported for licensing DELTAGEN. This allows for easier maintenance of your systems, especially if other software packages are running with the DS License Server. During the installation process you can choose your preferred license server.
