3DR Solo Instructions Parts Included

2x – Parrot Sequoia mounting brackets

2x – Rubber pads

1x – power and data board

2x – Zip tie anchors

2x – Zip ties

1x – VHB tape square

Required Tools

#1 Phillips head screwdriver Scissors

Steps

1. Remove the 3 screws on the gimbal bay cover.

2. Pull off the gimbal bay cover.

3. Clean the area outlined to remove all foreign debris and oils.

4. Remove the adhesive cover from the power and data board.

5. Thread the USB connector through the hole in the cover shown and adhere the board as shown to

the cover.

6. Locate the Solo gimbal cable and plug in the power adaptor as shown.

7. Replace the gimbal bay cover with the three screws.

8. Remove the GoPro mount pin.

9. Remove adhesive protector from 1 rubber pad.

10. Place pad on bracket as shown, repeat for second bracket.

11. Place brackets over Parrot Sequoia camera.

12. Slip the tabs of the brackets into the GoPro mount on the Solo.

13. Replace the screw on the GoPro mount and position camera as necessary.

14. Connect the micro USB power connector to the camera.

15. Use the included VHB tape to secure the Parrot Sequoia Sunshine Sensor to the battery of the Solo

as shown. The VHB tape will permanently attach to the battery; you may want to purchase quick

release brackets per battery. The orientation of the SD card opening should to point towards the

front of the aircraft.

16. Connect the micro USB cable between the camera and Parrot Sunshine Sensor.

17. Place the two zip tie anchors on one side of the 3DR Solo body.

18. Use zip ties to secure the cord from Sequoia to the Sunshine Sensor.

19. Cut the excess zip ties material with scissors.

DJI Phantom 3 Intended Integration

Parts Included

1x – GoPro Mount

1x – 0.9mm hex key

2x – Zip ties

1x – Screw mount zip tie

3x – M3 x 8 screws

1x – M3 x 12 screw

4x – M3 locking nuts

1x – ¼-20x1/4” screw

2x – Black plastic screws

2x – Black plastic posts

1x – VHB tape square

1x – 2mm hex key

Required Tools

#1 Phillips head screwdriver

#3 Phillips head screwdriver

5.5mm wrench

2x – Flat head screwdrivers

Scissors or wire cutters

Loctite (optional)

Steps

1. Remove DJI Phantom 3 gimbal

1.1. Break the 2 plastic retainer clips going through the dampers and discard

1.2. Carefully remove the camera from the damper balls

1.3. Remove the 2 cables from the camera by depressing the tabs on the connectors and pulling

1.4. Remove white damper balls and save for later use

1.5. Use a 2mm Hex key to remove the 4 screws holding on the gimbal plate, save for later use

WARNING! The Phantom 3 integration kit is intended to be used ONLY with the Phantom 3

Professional and Phantom 3 Advanced aircraft.

DO NOT USE WITH PHANTOM 3 4K OR PHANTOM 3 STANDARD. Use in the Phantom 3 4K or

Phantom 3 Standard will result in damage to your aircraft, Sequoia, or both.

1.6. Remove the rear 6 pin cable from the Phantom 3 body by pulling on the connector

2. Attach the Parrot Sunshine Sensor mast and the power and data board by securing it to the Carbon

fiber top mounting plate with the three M3 x 8mm screws and lock nuts. A #1 Phillips screwdriver

and 5.5mm wrench will be needed.

3. Use the M3 x 12 screw to secure the screw mount zip tie to the remaining hole and secure with the

remaining M3 nut.

4. Secure the power cord as shown with the board mount zip tie.

5. Attach Carbon fiber top mounting plate as shown with the original 4 screws removed in step 1.5.

Make sure to route the wire as shown.

6. Connect the power cable from the Phantom 3 to the power and data board.

7. Use the 0.9mm hex key to tighten the two set screws on the Sunshine Sensor mast to prevent

rotation during flight.

8. Attach the 4 white damper balls onto the Carbon fiber top mounting plate.

9. Attach the GoPro mount to the Carbon fiber bottom mounting plate using the ¼-20 x ¼” screw. A

#3 Phillips screwdriver will be needed. It is also recommended threadlocker (not included) is applied

to the screw before it is used to secure the GoPro mount.

10. Attach the Carbon fiber bottom mounting plate to the 4 white damper balls.

11. Slide the black plastic posts through the top of the damper holes at opposite ends.

12. Screw in the black plastic screws into the black plastic posts using 2 flat head screw drivers. Do not

tighten completely, leave enough threads for movement of the mount, 1/8” - 1/4”.

13. Remove adhesive protector from 1 rubber pad.

14. Place pad on bracket as shown, repeat for second bracket.

15. Place brackets over Parrot Sequoia camera.

16. Slip the tabs of the brackets into the GoPro mount on the Phantom 3.

17. Insert the GoPro mount thumb screw into the mount and position camera as necessary.

18. Attach the VHB tape to the top of the Parrot Sunshine Sensor mast.

19. Attach either the Parrot Sunshine sensor or the Parrot Sunshine Sensor mount to the VHB tape.

19.1. If the Parrot Sunshine Sensor mount was placed on the mast, insert the Parrot Sunshine

Sensor.

20. Attach the micro-USB cable between the Parrot Sequoia camera and Parrot Sunshine Sensor.

21. Use 2 zip ties to tightly secure the cable to the mast as shown. SD card on Sunshine Sensor should

be facing out from the front of the drone.

22. Using scissors or similar, cut off the excess zip tie material.

NOTE: The remaining connector on the power and data board is for communication with the Phantom

3. As of this writing, there is no software support for this feature. The connector is for future

compatibility.

WARNING! The power and data board will get hot and should not be touched during or

after operation. Ensure the board has cooled before touching the area.
