GlossaryLumen Measurement of light emitted. The more lumens, the brighter the light. Instead of measuring brightness in energy use (40W, 60W, etc.), measuring brightness in lumens is more useful for comparing bulbs with different energy use rates.

CCTCorrelated color temperature; the color appearance of emitted light, measured by a general “warmth” or “coolness” of visual appearance in units of kelvin (K). S low color temperature (below 3200 K) implies warmer (more red/yellow) light, color temperatures from 3200 to 4000 K are neutral and a high color temperature (above 4000 K) implies a cooler (more blue) light.

PowerWatts; the unit of power measuring the amount a bulb consumes at full brightness.

CRIColor Rendering Index; a 0 to 100 scale measuring how natural the given light looks; 80 or higher is considered good.

Beam AngleThe angle range at which light is emitted.

CBCP Center Beam Candle Power; measures how accurately emitted light stays within the beam angle.
