It’s Show Time Again
Well we lucked again with Mother Nature. She decided that she
would save the wet weather for another day, but she made up for
it with the heat. We have not totaled up the numbers yet, but I
think we had over 107 cars on site.
The art work for the T-Shirt and award plaques was great. I know
black is tough in the summer, but because of the art work colors,
black was the only way to go. Our hosts Steve Weiss, and Charlie
Ricottoni from Syosset Ford where as gracious as always.
Gliptone gave us two detail buckets to raffle off, and somebody
went home with $286.00 from the 50/50. John Hoolahan from
Bertucci’s gave us a $35.00 gift certificate, and Legendary Ford
Magazine did their usual good deed by giving us some annual
subscriptions to their magazine.

I want to thank our show committee for all their hard work. As
well as some of our sponsors, Best Brothers of Bohemia,
Firestone of Selden, and Tires Inc of Patchogue. Jose Moreno
from Newsday showed up and interviewed Dennis Benfante and
I for their new addition to their web site which will high light car
clubs on Long Island. Chris and Ray form Motor Mouth Radio
also showed up, but I could not spend time with them, because of
adding up of the ballots. Overall I say our third show was a suc-
cess, and again the only complaint was the heat. Just as a footnote
to the show: If you pre-registered and did not show we have
you’re goodie bag, and T-Shirt. If you come to the August meet-
ing, I will have it for you.
Lastly we have a ton of T-Shirts left over, the cost is $10.00 a
shirt, and if you are interested call me
Thursday July 10th/Motor Mouth Radio: Holy Bob and Ray
Batman. Well I was a little nervous, but had a great time. The hour
flew by, and our two hosts Ray, and Chris where great. I e-mailed
the link to all who are on line www.motormouthradio and if you
click on shows, then on July 10
th
you can down load the show,
and listen to Dennis and me.
Monday August 4th Outdoor Meeting/ @ McDonalds in West
Islip: This is our annual get together with TONY at Mickey D’s
in West Islip. Start time is about 7 ish, and last year we where out
numbered about five to one.
TONY only has a few out door meetings during the year, and this
is one of them. Last year they had close to twenty cars, and we I
think had five. So please put this date on your calendar, and would
like to see a great turnout just like Tuesday July 15 at Bertucci’s.
Directions: Mickey D’s is located on Sunrise Highway in West
Islip, on the north service road. Just west of Atlantic Motors, and
east of Higbie Lane. If you get lost, call me on my cell 516 445
4620.
July 15
th
Tuesday @ Bertucci’s: Can you say “Fourteen cars
and seventeen club members.” Well that’s what we had this night.
I want to thank all you guys for your participation in this event.
This was an experiment on my part to see if there was an interest.
Yep, home run.
A special thank you to John Houlihan the manager at Bertucci’s
for allowing us to come in to a busy Tuesday night, and I mean
busy, and set up in front of his building, and take away twelve
spots of parking.
John Nardozzi/Bling King: At Bertucci’s on the 15
th
John hand-
ed me a business card that read “T Bird Vending LLC”. John is in
the bulk vending business, so if there is a need on your part for
John’s services you can call him at 516 897 7097.
Club Badges: Was discussed at length at the July 15
th
meeting.
We will make a decision shortly after our show, and move for-
ward with this project.
