"Library co-operation" denotes a mode of Co-operation where library

functions are shared in common by a number of libraries. The goals are to (a) provide

net effect on the library under in terms of accesses to more material or services and or/

(b) on the library budget in terms of providing level service at less cost, or more service

at less cost, or increased service at less cost or much more service at less cost than it

undertakes individually. The goal should be realised without harm to the mission of the
