4 Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus This novena was prayed daily by St. Padre Pio for the intentions of those who requested his prayers. I. O my Jesus, you have said: "Truly I say to you, ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you." Behold I knock, I seek and ask for the grace of...... Say the Hail, Holy Queen and add: St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus, pray for us. -- St. Margaret Mary Alacoque The novena style of prayer, of course, has its origins in the time that our Blessed Lady and the Apostles spent together in prayer from the period of JesusAscension into Heaven to the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. This novena was prayed daily by St. Padre Pio for the intentions of those who requested his prayers.

On behalf of the Missionaries of Charity who joined us last week at Mass in St. James’, I’d like to say a huge thank you to you all for your amazing generosity. Not only did the Sisters return to Dundee with a car full of food and household goods (much of which they have already given to others in great need), but your kindness in supporting the collection and the sale of soup in the church hall means that we collected and outstanding £1,259.17 to help continue supporting the Sisters themselves and the work they do for the poorest and most needy in our society. I really can’t thank you enough for your willingness to give to such a worthy cause. A special thank you, too, to Wilma Carragher who made all of this possible, and has been so inspired by the Sisters’ work and the example of Mother (Saint) Teresa of Calcutta.

vibrant and growing family of Faith and love - everyone has something special to offer!
