Q. As someone who enjoys and study’s music do you feel that there can be an audience for a multi mainstream genre magazine? A. Yes, I like most genres of music and a magazine about it, could provide a key insight to what is going on. I hate the fact that I may have to go to multiple sources because I’m open-minded about music Q. looking at my magazine what do you feel that my target age (older teen and up as said in my proposal) is agreeable? A. Yes, the fact is simple, and its colour scheme makes it universal for genders with having a dominate reading I like how it is presented like I know something. Q. What media do you consume? A. Mainly the internet, about 60% internet, 10% TV 30% books and magazines. Q. Fair to say apart from college and other important things, this is roughly how you spend your free time? A. Yes. *As in my evaluation task 2 I pointed out how I dressed and posed and did the magazine to gain my target audience Q. What stands out to you the most about the cover of the magazine. A. the casual but simple-ness of it, it appears smart, but not too much. Q. What part of the design do you like the most? Or most appeals to you? A. The guy is not standing straight, it makes me think that’s its different just by doing a mental comparison of what I’ve seen out there.

4 and 5 of my evaluation

ONLINE Interview done on skype 22/01/2014 with fellow friend and music student John (30066785, student number) someone who likes all types of music, my target audience

This is a 100% transcribed interview.

Q. As someone who enjoys and study’s music do you feel that there can be an audience for a multi mainstream genre magazine?

A. Yes, I like most genres of music and a magazine about it, could provide a key insight to what is going on. I hate the fact that I may have to go to multiple sources because I’m open-minded about music

Q. looking at my magazine what do you feel that my target age (older teen and up as said in my proposal) is agreeable?

A. Yes.

*As in my evaluation task 2 I pointed out how I dressed and posed and did the magazine to gain my target audience

Q. Ultimately providing this was a real magazine, and you had to pick one up the self, would you buy it?

A. It appeals to someone who likes a lot of music from a lot of genres, strong possibility I would.

As you can see all three of these as stated in Q4 (above) my interviewee said he liked the fact he was treated like he knew something. This is probably due to the way my actors/models are dressed. All smart but casual, casual like the stereotype hard core music fan is. But the smart clothes are there to give the dominate ideology that they are being adreesed as they should be.

All three of these have the same black white and grey colour scheme, I did this because when representing my audience I wanted to be as broad and open minded as possible, and by using technically no colour mostly ( since black and white is not a colour) I’m not pushing away someone who has stereotyped one selves, I also did this to keep with the cotemporary smart look. Bottom line is, I expect my audience to be hitting the books, being smart, but being cool they want things logically.
