4 Life Expo – Healthy Living, Aging and More 2 2015 Sponsorship Information
Dear Potential Sponsor,
Please accept the enclosed sponsorship proposal for your review.
This proposal offers a unique opportunity to promote your organization to the hundreds of seniors, their families and caregivers, and those on their way to becoming seniors who reside in the Kingston area.
the Second Annual 4 Life – Healthy Living, Aging and more expo is the Council on Aging’s largest fundraising event of the year. Held at the Cataraqui Arena in Kingston on Saturday, April 25, 2015, the 4 Life Expo is hoped to attract over 1,000 service providers and seniors from across the South Eastern Ontario Region.
The Council on Aging has a proud history dating back to the 1990’s of advocating for, and supporting seniors in our community. Supporting seniors is their number one priority. The Council on Aging is considered to be the premier organiza-tion to provide Elder Abuse Prevention education and supports in the South Eastern Ontario region.
The 4 Life Expo, like the work of the Council on Aging, is unique in the South Eastern Ontario Region, and we want to work with sponsors to ensure the Expo continues to grow while benefiting the Council, community, the vendors and the sponsors.
We plan on working towards this goal by achieving three main points of focus for 2015:1) Increase prominence and visibility of the 4 Life Expo and its primary focus, by increasing print and radio coverage and continuation of previous television coverage2) Increasing catchment area: by expanding to include Brockville, Ganaoque, Napanee, Belleville and Trenton in advertising 3) Expanding show offerings to an assortment of live entertainment
One of the many goals of the 4 Life Expo 2015 is to establish new relationships with sponsors while strengthening relationships with current supporters to benefit each party mutually.
We plan on increasing on site visibility for sponsors within the event by introducing digital floor monitors displaying rotating graphics, and introducing a vip/Sponsor vendor Appreciation night prior to the events commencement.
The success of a sponsorship program is contingent upon exceeding expectations. We want to ensure our supporters are part of a winning program that provides a positive experience and excellent promotional opportunity. We want to work with you to customize our sponsorship packages to best suit your needs, our “personal touches” will ensure your message is properly delivered to this growing target audience.
Thank you for this opportunity. I will call you within the next week to answer any questions you may have.
Regards,
Olivia RoseEvent Coordinator by Frose Creative SolutionsIn support of the Frontenac-Kingston Council on Aging

to woo the Boomer demographic. But most aren’t. They’re pitching to the “youth market”
even though “youth” are fewer, poorer, and relatively powerless.

(NC)—Thanks to healthier lifestyles, as well as advances in oral and medical care, Canadians can expect to keep most, if not all of their natural teeth as they enter their senior years. But keeping those teeth healthy can be a challenge.
According to the Canadian Health Mea-sures Survey, 53% of adults ages 60 to 79 do not have dental insurance, and the lack of coverage is one of the main reasons why they don’t see a dental professional. Because older adults have specific dental needs, seniors and their caregivers should be aware of the importance of regular dental care.
Bacteria from the mouth can travel and develop into serious infections affecting overall health, specialists say. Many medi-cations can cause dry mouth, a condition that can contribute to cavities and other
oral problems. Seniors also develop more cavities on the roots of their teeth than younger adults. As a result, all older adults should be encouraged to brush natural teeth twice a day with fluoride tooth-paste and clean in between the teeth at least once a day. Dentures (full or partial) should be cleaned and soaked daily and the gums should be brushed and mas-saged, either with a soft toothbrush or with a warm, damp cloth.
Whether you’re at home or in a long-term care residence, good oral hygiene coupled with regular treatments by a dental hy-gienist can help to prevent more serious health problems. Together, you can plan a daily oral care routine that will keep your teeth, and you, healthy for life.

Modular Homes
Submitted by Rubi Sulyma
Remember when a modular home was considered a mobile home? Nothing more than a beefed up travel trailer with the wheels taken off and dropped onto the bed of your home site's foundation. That is no longer the case these days.
Today's modular homes are something to behold. The type of homes that are built to the exacting specifications of our On-tario climate, complete with a beautifully, fully functional kitchen, with cove mould-ings on top of the cabinetry, pot drawers, plenty of lighting and more; the perfect kitchen.
Why stop there, keep walking through your house. Notice the smooth finish ceilings or maybe a tray ceiling, gran-ite topped vanities, glass door showers, low e-argon filled windows with sills,
everything you would expect to have and more in your new home. These homes are built with R50 insulation in the attic, R24 in the walls, 2” x 10” floor joists and 2” x 6” walls and 30 year archi-tectural shingles.
They come complete with a furnace, hot water tank, even a HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilation system). These modular homes are built in a climate controlled factory, built with the home owner's additional specifications which may include grab bars, larger interior doors or wheelchair friendly plans. They can even come with the garage attached.
Homes come in two or more sections, delivered and installed right onto your foundation, where the tradesmen com-plete your home. In less than 10 weeks the keys are handed over and you move into your brand new customized maintenance free modular home. Best of all, even the banks and government recognize these new energy-efficient modular homes by offering mortgages and rebates.
