CHAPTER 2

Ultimate BallUltimate ball is a game that combines basketball, football, and handball. Your goal is to move the ball down the floor with your teammates and try to score at the goal.

Offensive Rules:

1. You may take 2 steps after you catch the ball (if you take more it is the other teams ball)

2. You may dribble the ball 2 times after you catch the ball (if you take more or lose control of the ball it is the other teams ball

3. ALL shots must come inside the three point line on the basketball court

4. Shots must be taken with 2 hands on the ball

Defensive Rules1. You must give an arms length between you and the person with

the ball2.You cannot slap, push, or make any kind of bodily contact with the

person that has the ball

Fouls1. Fouls that occur while shooting result in 2 shots from the free

throw line (this is a big deal because a scored goal only counts as 1 point!)

2.Fouls that occur while a pass is being made results in the team that was fouled keeping the ball and getting a free unguarded pass

Loose Balls1. If an offensive player drops a pass, it is the defensive team’s ball

where the drop occurred. 2. If a defensive player tips a pass and the ball hits the ground, it is

the offensive team’s ball where the ball hit the ground. 3. If an offensive player loses control of the ball while dribbling, it is

the defensive team’s ball where the player lost control4.If a shot is taken and missed, it is the defensive team’s ball 5. Traveling (too many steps) or taking more than two dribbles will

result in loss of the ball
