We plan to reopen the church on June 1st. Howev-er, we reserve the right to change this date or any of the rules to keep the parish family safe.
1. All the masses from that point on are going to be in the Parish Center.
2. The schedule for the masses are to be changed:
Daily masses: 8:00 AM Saturday evening mass: 5:00 PM Sunday: 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM
3. There will be limit on ad-mission: no more than 90 people. When the limit is hit, no more people will be al-lowed in the building. People can stay on a parking lot (bring your own chair), or in their cars. People will be
able to hear the mass from an additional speaker set outside.
4. Communion will be deliv-ered to those inside and the people who participate in the mass while staying in the parking lot.
5. All the daily masses are going to be streamed on Youtube, but only the 11:00 AM Sunday mass is going to be streamed to that service.
6. Please, wear your mask at all times, and bring your own sanitizer just in case.
7. We reserve the right to not admit anyone who show symptoms of Coronavirus. If you know that you are sick, please, stay home and watch the mass on YouTube.
We are planning to reo-pen the office on May 31.
If you would like to visit, please, call the office first to schedule an appoint-ment, and wear your mask while in the office.
Also, the door will be locked at all times, as we cannot allow more than one person at once.
Please, don’t prepare for long talks, as there may be more people waiting in line to get to the office.
“Brothers and sisters: No one can say ‘Jesus is Lord’ except by the Holy Spirit. There are differ-ent kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God which produces all of them in everyone. To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit…For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body…and we were all giv-en to drink of the one Spirit.” We proclaim that Jesus is Lord, and everything that goes along with it. He is Savior, Teacher, Brother. Because the Spirit dwells in me, I do not hesitate to make this assertion. Take a moment, to reflect upon the gifts I see in others. They too are signs that the Spirit dwells in that person. Do not hesitate to mention your re-spect for them because of the presence of the Spirit and the gifts they possess. It might be the special moment to awaken in them the need to continue to exercise these God given gifts. Do I find charity, kindness, humility, the spirit of evan-gelization, holiness in them? Pray for them, help awaken that presence of the Spirit in them.

Pentecost Voice The Holy Spirit, who came on Pentecost, gave voice to the apostles to proclaim the truth of the Gospel. The Spirit, the Soul of the Church, continues to enable the Church to speak, and enables us to speak in our indi-vidual capacity. As Cardinal Elio Sgreccia, President Emeritus of the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy for Life has said, “The Church must speak out in to-day's context on fun-damental rights, the
right to justice, the right to peace, but above all and in the first place, the right to life. If the Church did not speak, did not pro-claim the truth, it would be abandoning its du-ty; it would be unfaith-ful to society, to the good of society. There-fore, its precise duty is the very liberty to inter-vene with word, and also with example -- the example of pro-moting human life, of intervening for the sal-vation of mankind."
First Reading: Acts 2:1-11 On the feast of Pentecost, the disciples were gathered together when suddenly tongues of fire rested upon them, and they were filled with the Holy Spirit. They began to speak in many tongues; those who heard them were filled with amazement. Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 12:3b-7, 12-13 Paul tells the Corinthians that each pos-sesses different gifts and performs different ministries, but each works for the common good in Christ Jesus. Gospel: John 20:19-23 Jesus appears to the apostles after his res-urrection and bestows upon them the power to forgive sins.

Scholarship Contest Any High School Senior who is a practicing Catholic at St. Jude’s Church is invited to submit an essay for con-sideration in our annual Scholarship Contest.

Holy Virgin of Guada-

We fly to you today as your be-loved children.
We ask you to intercede for us
with your Son, as you did at the wedding in
Cana.
Pray for us, loving Mother, and gain for our nation and
world, and for all our families and
loved ones, the protection of your holy an-
gels, that we may be spared the
worst of this illness.
For those already afflicted, we ask you
to obtain the grace of healing and deliverance.
Hear the cries of those who are vulnerable and fearful,

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted those living in poverty the most and Catholic Chari-ties, Diocese of Paterson's 3 Food Pantries (Father English Center, Paterson; Hope House, Dover; and Partnership for So-cial Services, Franklin) are giv-ing out more food than ever be-fore.
Most months, Catholic Chari-ties, Diocese of Paterson gives out food to 5,000 - 7,000 peo-
ple at their 3 food pantries. In April of 2020, this number prac-tically doubled, as they helped over 11,000 individuals who are feeling the direct economic impact of COVID-19.
Bishop Serratelli has author-ized a Catholic Charities Dioce-san-wide food collection in all parishes. This year, the drive has gone virtual, and you can shop online and have items di-rectly shipped to Catholic Char-
ities Food Pantries.
