Dear Parish Family, WELCOME BACK! I sincerely welcome back all of our parishioners and friends who are physically with us today and to all those joining us virtually. If there is anything I can do for you please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or email. Please be assured of my love and prayers for each of you!
DISPENSATION IS LIFTED: The Bishops of all the Dioceses of Pennsylvania have stated that the Dispensation to be excused from Sunday Mass and Holy Days of Obligation because of the recent pandemic will be lifted on Sunday, August 15. Therefore, all Baptized
Catholics are to attend Mass on Sunday or Saturday afternoon (Masses before 4 PM on Saturdays do not count as Anticipated Masses for Sunday) beginning on the weekend of August 14-15. Those who are unable to attend Mass because of health reasons have always been dispensed from the obligation. If you are well, Sacramental confession is necessary in order to receive Holy Communion if you have missed Mass through your own fault.
CONFESSIONS: The Sacrament of Penance/Reconciliation is offered here at Saint Mary every Saturday morning after the 9 AM Mass and every Saturday afternoon between 2:45 PM and 3:45 PM. If you need to go to confession outside of these scheduled times please call our
Parish Office Center and schedule an appointment with me. I will be most happy to offer you the Sacrament of Penance/Reconciliation.
HOLY COMMUNION: Holy Communion is the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ. We are to receive Holy Communion at the Altar reverently. Please do not walk away with Holy Communion in your hand. Please receive the Eucharist in front of & facing the Altar. After you
have consumed Holy Communion you may walk back to your pew. Thank you very much for your cooperation.
SCHOOL REGISTRATION: Saint Mary Catholic School will open its doors for its 60th year this fall. Please check us out. Saint Mary Catholic School is a Middle States Accredited School of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia offering an excellent Kindergarten through 8th grade
Catholic Education. We also offer a wonderful faith based Catholic Preschool entitled AGNUS DEI ACADEMY (Lamb of God Academy) offering an excellent learning center for 3 and 4 year old children. Please call our school for more information. Contact information is on the front inside cover of this bulletin.
PREP REGISTRATION: Those students enrolling in our Evening School of Religious Education (PREP) held in our Catholic Education Center on Monday or Tuesday evenings are asked to go directly to our Parish website and follow the easy step by step prompts for Registration. Registration for
September classes is done electronically. ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND: On September 10, 11 and 12 we at Saint Mary Parish will celebrate memorable events. On September 10 we will celebrate the 60th Anniversary of our Parish School (1961-2021). On September 11 we will remember the 20th Anniversary of the attack on our
country (2001-2021) in New York, Shanksville, PA and Washington, DC. Throughout the entire weekend of September 10, 11 &12 we will celebrate the 95th Anniversary of our Parish (1926-2021). SECOND SUMMER BOOK CLUB Our next summer book club will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in Annex Room #1. The book is We’ll Never Tell Them by Fiorella De Maria. Kristjana, a nurse in England, flees twenty-first-century London in order to avoid a decision about her future.
Kristjana’s cancer patient, Leo Hampton, recounts his mother’s life—her upbringing in colonial Malta, her education in Edwardian England, and her service as a volunteer nurse during World War I. Captivated by the story of Liljana Hampton, Kristjana is pulled into the agonies and the ecstasies of a previous generation, which almost seem more real to her than those of her own life. Through her vicarious experience of another woman’s personal history, Kristjana discovers the secret of fearlessly embracing her future. Purchase and read the book on your own and then join us to discuss! For more information contact Linda Nichols at 215-256-4941 or [email protected].
PERPETUAL EUCHARISTIC ADORATION " ... Jesus hides in the Blessed Sacrament of the altar because He wants us to dare to approach Him. He wants to nourish us so we become one single thing with Him. When He said, Apart from Me you can do nothing, He was not condemning Christians to ineffectiveness or obliging them to
seek Him by a difficult and arduous route. On the contrary ... He has stayed with us, He is totally available to us." ~ St Josemaría Escrivá. We need scheduled adorers and substitutes. Open hours: Friday @ 5:00AM & 11:00AM, and Sunday @ 1:00AM. If interested please contact MK at 610-476-4490 or [email protected].

The Parish Debt represents invoices that we owe to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. These invoices are for assessments, insurance, property and liability, etc. incurred between the years of 2005 – 2012. The Archdiocese has been very gracious to cover these invoices during a time when we could not afford to do so. By using your Parish Debt (Gold) Envelope, you are helping our parish pay the obligation we owe to the Archdiocese. From 2013 to today we are current on all our Archdiocesan invoices. Thank you for your kind generosity.
