T he Guastavino Company contributed to more than 20 buildings in the Washington, D.C. area including such well known landmarks as the U.S. Supreme Court, the National Archives, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History, and the National Cathedral. Below is a selection of these buildings with publicly accessible Guastavino vaulting, arranged in order of proximity to the National Building Museum. The architect, year of construction, and location of Guastavino tile vaulting are included. The reverse lists other known Guastavino buildings in the area. There may be still more undiscovered Guastavino works, and we ask you to report new findings by email to [email protected]. The Guastavino Company contributed to more than 20 buildings in the Washington, D.C. area including such well known landmarks as the U.S. Supreme Court, the National Archives, the Smithsonian’s National
