Sisters of Notre DameInternational Health Care Conference
At St. Claire RegionalSt. Claire Regional welcomed 46 Sisters of Notre Dame on Wednesday morning as part of their International Health Care Conference. The Sisters represented six different countries, including: Brazil, Germany, India, Indonesia, South Korea and the US.
The visiting Sisters spent their time at SCR touring the hospital and the Center for Health, Education and Research, learning about SCR’s history, mission and service area. Mike Montes, SCR Aramark Food Service Manager, prepared a very special center piece, pictured below, that he scupted out of sugar and featured both the Sisters of Notre Dame and SCR logos accompanied by a sunflower floral arrangement.
Mike Montes pictured with the sisters of notre dame International Group and a symbolic sugar sculpture with the snd and sCr logos.
Pictured above are the 46 sisters of notre dame that visited sCr.

Have you noticed staff drinking their morning coffee out of a fabulous SCR latte mug? Those staff members received a latte mug because they started or increased their retirement contributions during the recent 401(k) Day event.
SCR’s 401(k) Day activities kicked off with an 8:00 a.m. seminar “Pre-retirement Planning,” which was repeated every 2 hours throughout the event. Representatives from Transamerica and Trademark Insurance & Investments assisted staff with their retirement questions.
Many staff members increased their contribution or started a new account to begin working toward their retirement goals. New (or re-started) contributions will be effective July 1, 2012, the next quarterly plan entry date.
All SCR staff who attended 401(k) Day, or the outlying retirement visits, were registered to win one of many door prizes.
