Dear Delegates,
On behalf of the Organising Committee, it is with great pleasure I invite you to the 42nd Annual Scientific Meeting of Malaysian Orthopaedic Association (MOA). This annual meeting will be held in Kuantan, Pahang, 14-17 June 2012.
The theme of the coming meeting is THE YOUNG & THE ACTIVE. It focuses on new frontiers in paediatric orthopaedics and sports trauma without compromising on sessions in other orthopaedic specialties. The scientific programme includes plenary lectures to shed light on latest developments in paediatric orthopaedics and sports trauma; plus highly interactive symposiums to encourage the sharing of clinical opinions on various issues. For the first time, our scientific meeting will include instructional course lectures to start the day. Concurrent free paper and poster presentation remain as important sessions in the programme. Participants will have ample opportunities to improve their skills in various hands-on pre-congress workshops conducted by experts.
Located in the heart of the east coast of Peninsula Malaysia, Kuantan is the rapidly developing state capital of Pahang with an interesting mix of modern buildings, bustling town centre, charming cottage industries and friendly people. Surrounding Kuantan are lush green rainforests and a long scenic coastline of sandy beaches and swaying palm trees. The venue for this meeting, the Sultan Ahmad Shah International Convention Centre, represents a new landmark in this beautiful township. From the meeting venue, one can access various nature destinations from magnificent wilderness to sandy beaches or cool highland retreats. Pahang is truly a gift of nature.
We look forward to welcoming you to the 42nd Annual Scientific Meeting of MOA and are confident that this meeting will prove to be both an educational and enjoyable trip.
