This year, we are planning on implemenng Mobile App based Event Check-in and Membership Validaon processes which will eliminate the long wait during event check-in. Just recently, we updated our Membership Portal (app.jsmcmember.org) so you can now enroll for Pathshala for mulple members in your family in one transacon. We encourage you to sign-up with our membership portal if you haven’t – going forward, that would soon become a requirement. As one of our community services goals, this year we are working to establish an on-site medical clinic to provide free medical services to our community. More details will be launched during Mahavir Janma Kalyanak – stay tuned! We will also be embarking on the 3rd year of our successful Scholarship Loan Program for college-bound students. Details will be announced at the beginning of April. Members’ safety is number one priority for us. Based on feedback from many of our members, this year we are targeng to reduce the slope for our main entry way from Route 59. We are happy to announce that with help from many polical leaders, both IL Senate and House approved the Bill for the naming. After a successful celebration of the milestone year of our Temple’s 25th Anniversary, we are continuing this year’s activities on our strong platform of unity and friendship. While the winter was rough this year, our members have continued to mingle in various community events like the Lock-in, JSMC Bowling, Ski-Trip & “Feed My Starving Children”.

Shri Champakbhai is highly knowledgeable about Jain scriptures and effortlessly delivers discourses in simple language as it comes naturally from his heart. Shri Champakbhai studied Jain Philosophy for 4.5 years at Shrimad Yashovijayji Jain Sanskrit Pathshala, Mehsana, Gujarat - a foremost institution, imparting education in Jain Philosophy and Rituals for the last 105 years. Many scholars from this Päthashäla are teaching Jain religion all over India and abroad.
Shri Champakbhai has been teaching Jain Philosophy, Scriptures and sutras in many Päthashäläs and Sangh for the last 25 years. He has conducted Paryushana, Oli ,and Pujan in various centers across USA.

JSMC Scholarship and Student Loan Program
We had successful years of the JSMC Scholarship & Loan Program in 2017 & 2018. Each year, we disbursed ~$145,000 in ~30 college loans or scholarships to our students using an entirely online & confidential process that was managed by an independent committee. For college year 2019-20, we will be launching the program by early April. Stay tuned!!

25th Anniversary Satkarya Funds

We are now ready to start providing free primary care and healthcare specialist’s consultation services to people who are unable to pay for the medical care. This has been made possible due to vision, support, hard work and
dedication of our Medical Clinic Core team, executive committee and board of trustees. Below you will find details on the clinic.
Location: Medical Clinic room at JSMC Center next to Teacher’s lounge downstairs. Schedule: Every 1st Sunday of the month Scope: Every day clinic basic scope will include Vitals, Primary Care, EKG, Blood Sugar check Specialist consultation based on predetermined schedule Specialists including Cardiologist, Gastroenteritis, Dentist, Ophthalmologist, Physical Therapist, Audiologist will be providing their
free services Patient Labs will be offered at the discretion of treating primary care physician Pharmacist will be available on-site with limited list of standard medicines. Medications will be given for free based on on-site
Doctor’s recommendation.

Health fair and medical Services
Every year during May month JSMC organizes annual Health and medical fair to serve our Jain community members with free of charge health checkup and counselling by medical professionals. For more details, please contact JSMC Admin office or visit JSMC website @ www.jsmconline.org Pathshala
JSMC Pathshala is one of the largest Päthshalas outside of India. A staff of more than 40 dedicated teachers and many volunteers help educate people of all ages in Jain Religious Education at JSMC and also prepare our youth for various socio-cultural activities. Every 1st & 3rd Sunday about 450 students from toddlers to adult level attend education classes. For information and enrollment, contact: [email protected].
Student Scholarship and Education Loan
JSMC is very pleased to have College Scholarship and Loan Program for students’ college education. This needs-based program has been established to assist and encourage our students in furthering their college education.
Obituary Announcement Service
JSMC provide this service to its members upon the death of member or its immediate family member (defined as spouse, children and parents) whose death occurs in USA. A personalized announcement with photograph of deceased is sent to entire membership in an email announcement. JSMC also provides facility for Prayer Service.
