Seventh Sunday of Easter

FromFromFromFrom Fr. PaulFr. PaulFr. PaulFr. Paul

Dear Friends,

Please join us this Sunday, May 28, after the 12 noon Mass at St. Joseph's for a reception in the School Cafeteria to say "thank you" and "farewell" to Fr. Maurice and Fr. Emmanuel, who will be departing soon for new assignments/projects. Fr. Maurice Agbaw, from Cameroon, has been helping us for two years while studying for his doctoral degree at Boston College, and he will be moving to Georgetown MA to write his thesis (and then continue his philosophy doctorate). Fr. Emmanuel Akpobolokemi has been helping us for six months, has completed his master's degree at BC, and will preach some parish missions in the Midwest this summer before returning home to Nigeria. We are grateful for their generous service and their joyful witness to the Lord! Next Sunday, June 4, we will celebrate our last 5pm Sunday Mass at St. Francis, as it will be suspended for the summer months. We may or may not resume this Mass in September, but we have fewer priests here now than in the past, so that is not guaranteed. Please spread the word that the 5pm Sunday Mass will end on June 4. We give thanks and honor all those who have given their lives in sacrifice for our country on this Memorial Day Weekend. "No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends" (John 15:13). Fr. Paul
