I held senior plc leadership positions in BT, Control Techniques, Eurotherm and Focus Dynamics, resulting in extensive business development experience, including corporate recovery. An energetic leader with broad experience of diverse sectors, sizes and cultures; adept at working with small, medium or large businesses, my leadership qualities were formally recognised during commissioned service in the RAF, when I was awarded the coveted Sword of Honour. I have also been a successful Owner/ Manager, acquiring a complex technology group in a 2002 MBI project, involving heavy operational and financial re-structuring, which achieved significant value realisation. In the past 10 years I have helped create a stream of SME business success stories in different sectors through consulting, mentoring, coaching and supporting business leaders and senior executive teams. I currently hold 3 NED positions. A “competitive” sportsman at county level in rugby and cricket, I enjoy watching most sports, particularly rugby, cricket, football and tennis. International experiences sparked a “hobby” in property development, which has today become a managed portfolio. I am also a keen fan of great food and wine, humour and good conversation.
