Sharabha is a creature in Hindu mythology that is part lion and part bird.Shaiva scriptures narrate that god Shiva assumed the Avatar of Sharabha totame Narasimha - the fierce man-lion avatar of Vishnuworshipped byVaishnava sect - into a normal pleasant form representing harmony.
