• From 2021, the PSLE will be scored with wider
bands.
• The scores reflect the students’ individual
performance and not performance relative to
his peers.
ACHIEVEMENT LEVELS (ALs)
Aggregate score: eg. 225
A, B, C Grading and
• Each subject will be scored using 8
bands known as Achievement
Levels (AL), with AL1 being the best
score and AL8 being the lowest
score. The ALs reflect the student’s
level of achievement in the subject.
• The student’s total PSLE Score will
be the sum of the four subject
scores.

School Expectations
• Absence during exams - an official
medical certificate (MC) is required.
• Absence on a school day – MC or letter
from parent/guardian.
• For early departure on a school day –
parent/guardian must be present to sign
out the child.
• Come to school punctually.
• Avoid taking child on trips during term
time – (not a valid reason) Principal’s
approval is required.
• Frequent absences & late-coming –
school will send out an advisory letter.
