It is important to impart proper dental care habits to the kids as soon as possible. If you are successful in
imparting good dental care habits, your child won't face any dental problems in
later stages of life. Take your child to your trusted dentist once every six
months.
IMPART PROPER DENTAL CARE HABITS
Flouride toothpaste must be used for the kid as it helps to control and
prevent tooth decay. For children under 3, fluoride toothpaste should ideally contain 1350 to 1500 ppm of
fluoride (just a smear of thin film that covers less than three-quarters
of the brush. Parents and adult supervision is needed.
OPT FOR FLOURIDE TOOTHPASTE
It is important to ensure that the kids brush their teeth properly so they can carry good habits and techniques throughout life. As a parent, you need to use easy steps and explain correct way of holding the brush and move it over the teeth.
PROPER BRUSHING TECHNIQUE
Flossing is a critical factor for good dental health as it helps to remove particles that are stuck between the teeth which brushing activity missed. Flossing should ideally start when last two molar come together which usually occurs around the age of three.
FLOSSING
A good nutritious diet can lead to good dental care. Hidden sugars in beverages and foods can cause cavities. Instead, make them switch to real juices, fruits so that the likelihood of cavities may come down. Other foods to avoid are: sticky, acidic, foods that have low nutritional value, and supersized foods that can injure your jaw.
