1 Decide on the best shoot location
Studio, cinema, office, Trade show, outdoors
Do a recce to check out the lighting, acoustics and broadband connection
2 Broadcast quality camera equipment
Consider hiring or purchasing a good quality HD camera and using a
tripod
Rehearse and set up a rehearsal with your panel
Capture lots of footage you can always edit
3 Lighting
Invest in a professional lighting kit such as KinoFlo Diva Light kits
If possible shoot with natural light or
outdoors
Bring as much lighting into the room as you can
– open blinds, turn on lamps
4 Audio
Use lapel mics if filming sit down interviews
Ask participants to wear headphones and mute their mics when not
talking
Use pzm-type mics which are omni-directional for auditoriums, large conference rooms
5 Internet bandwidth
Test participants have the minimum requirements
(over 500kbps) at www.speedtest.net
