The population of the Greater Omaha region is expected to eclipse one million by 2025 with continued growth through 2050. Welcome to the Heartland! On behalf of the National Association of Regional Councils’ Board of Directors and Executive Directors Council, I welcome you to the Greater Omaha Region for NARC’s 53rd Annual Conference and Exhibition.

Every year regional planning organizations meet in a different region of the country to network, learn from industry experts, and share best practices. This year we are excited to be in the Omaha, Nebraska-Council Bluffs, Iowa metropolitan region, hosted by the Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA). NARC and MAPA have partnered to plan a fun, exciting conference, which includes opportunities to explore the region and learn about local planning efforts.Thank you to MAPA, its Board of Directors, leadership, and staff for this exciting conference.
