Sarah Byce EDI 337-07 Selected Response Assessment Unit: 2 nd Grade Science Test: Major Landforms and Water Movement on Earth Selected Response Purpose: The purpose of this summative assessment is to measure the students understanding of major landforms and water movement on Earth. The assessment will assist the teacher in determining if the students know the different landforms made by the Earth and how that alters water movement. There are five different sections on this assessment: matching, true/false, fill-in the blank, matching and short answer. The outcome of this assessment will also let the teacher know if there needs to be some re-teaching or review. Landforms and Water Movement

Directions: For the past couple weeks we have been learning about different landforms and how water moves on Earth. This assessment is being given to see how well you’ve understood the terms, comparisons made between landforms or bodies of water, and characteristics of these structures. There will be five types of questions on this test.

Section 1: Multiple Choice (2 points each) Section 2: True and False (1 point each) Section 3: Fill-In the Blank (1 point each) Section 4: Matching (1 point each) Section 5: Short Answer (points varied)

Next to each question you will see a box like this one: Please make sure you circle the word that describes how confident you are about your answer. If you are certain you know the answer is correct, circle “SURE”. If you are hesitant about your answer, circle “UNSURE”. You will have the rest of the class period to work on the test, so no need to rush through it. I will give additional time where it is necessary. If you have any questions while taking the assessment, please stay in your seat and raise your hand, I will come to you. You may write your answers right on the test booklet, most often in the blank provided. When you are finished, please place your test in the bin near my desk and return to your seat. You may either read-to-self or pick up a fun Halloween page from the back table to work on quietly. Please remember to write your name at the top of this page, go back and check that you answered all the questions and, as always, no talking, or you will get a zero on your test.

GOOD LUCK!! You will do great!!
