This is given to a senior cadet who exhibits a high level of leadership and professionalism in all endeavours, both within the cadet movement and outside the cadet movement. This is an award of excellence and may not be awarded each year.
Requirements:
•Demonstrates exceptional leadership abilities
•85% attendance for mandatory and regular parades
•60% attendance for non mandatory activities
•exhibits personal growth and dedication to cadets
•demonstrates good examples for all junior cadets
•exhibits exceptional professionalism throughout the year.
•Extra-curricular activities outside of the cadet program are mandatory to be considered for this award. Length of service in said activity will be carefully considered.

Awarded to the senior cadet who shows the most dedication to the squadron in all aspects. This is the best all around senior who works the hardest in every endeavour bringing life and enthusiasm to the unit and its training.

• demonstrates good leadership and motivational skills when working with junior cadets as well as peers

Cadet Career and Personal Growth Award
This award may not be considered every year. Requirements for this award are as follows:
• Joined at the age of 12 or 13
• Stellar attendance since their TOS date (85% or more)
• Applied for a summer camp every year (attendance to a summer camp will not be judged)
• Has shown significant progression through the ranks
• Has shown significant improvement over their cadet career
• Has aspirations to continue with the cadet program until aging out or until age of majority to apply to Armed Forces.
• To be considered for this award, cadets are requested to submit a narrative outlining why they wish to receive this award and how they feel they meet all the requirements.

Austin Pelton Citizenship Award
Awarded to the cadet who exhibits an exceptionally high level of citizenship in his/her cadet and personal life and fosters that care in others.
This is an award of excellence and will not be awarded each year.
Requirements:
• 90% participation in a wide variety of squadron events
• demonstrated community/country service outside cadets
• demonstrates team building and inclusive behaviours in regards to citizenship activities.
Any cadet wishing to be recognized for this award must submit a narrative outlining why they should be considered for this award.

Virginia Unrau Memorial “Mom” Award
Virginia Unrau was a wife of a commanding officer, a dedicated sponsoring committee member and Mom to the entire squadron. Her unique gift to make everyone feel included, solicit work and funds without being pushy, co-ordinate and manage people and resources were topped only by her uncomplaining commitment of thousands of hours of voluntary service over many years.
