TIGER AND KALAN• This symbol reads like this: Kalan

is holding the symbol of his anus -- meaning there by Dhanistha Nakshatra/ day of Dhanistha/ 23 rd day of moon month. (Delphini constellation)

• The tiger indicates the Auriga constellation and

• The feeding trough indicates the Orion constellation.

• It means that a person had died in the month of Auriga / Orion, and on the 23rd day of moon month.

HUMAN SACRIFICE• This goat seal shows human

sacrifice. The head is placed before the god on a stool. The inscription reads like this: (from left to right) On the Day of Karthigai -- (or) ----Grahana day---- next symbol is damaged not visible

• Fish symbol means-- month of • Sacrificed ( –vessel) ---one human

being in honour of tree dwelling god.

• Goat (Aries) was witness to that sacrifice

• 7-Dancers - Pleiades

Page 33: 5.new interpretations on ivc-4

YOGI SEAL• The script in this seal reads like

this (from left to right): In honour of God Mrigashira (symbol “X”-- ) on month of Purva Phalguni (part of fire pit) month – (fish-- )—on Aquarius day (symbol for water-) (U-symbol for day-- )

• It is likely that some ceremony was held on the day specified on the seal. The ceremony could be either death anniversary or some sacrifice.

Page 34: 5.new interpretations on ivc-4

BULL SACRIFICE

• This Namam (U-shape Tilak) may be indicating the blood sacrifice done.

• Three parallel lines may be an indication for the third day ceremony

• spear may be standing for the meaning “day”/spear planting ceremony on grave of a soldier

• This One and half line stroke might be meaning “Month of”

• The last symbol stands for Aquarius month.

GRAHANA DAY?

• Kalan is grabbed by Raahu and Ketu (probably the crab symbols indicate the Grahana day here). The symbol of twin snakes joined to form “U” shape indicates the Aslesha month.

• It can be seen that there is a quotation mark between snakes which specify that it means a month.

• This fish symbol does not mean a month here. Most probably it stands for “fish day” (27th day in the moon calendar).

• The last sign “U” symbol as usual means “the day”
