Welcome Message
Welcome Message
Prof. Steven H. Shaha, PhD, DBAPrincipal & CEO, Institute for Integrated OutcomesProfessor, Center for Public Policy & Administration, USA
It is a great pleasure and an honor to extend to you a warm invitation to attend the 5th International Conference on Medical Informatics
& Telemedicine, to be held in Prague, Czech Republic during August 31-01 September, 2017.
The theme of the conference is “Intersecting healthcare and technology to improve lives of Patients” which will cover all the areas to review the tangible,
proven and action-enriching methodology for making sense of the questionable imperative throughout healthcare today to “do it because everyone else is.”
Electronic patient records (EPRs) are proliferating globally. Yet proof of well-balanced benefits remains unjustifiably rare. This lack of substantiation is arguably unconscionable, hence the root of continued frustration, discomfort and dissatisfaction. It is my privilege to share a list of examples substantiating EPR-enabled benefits. Proven benefits include more efficacious clinical outcomes, reduced costs, optimised efficiencies and user satisfaction. The replicable examples provide substantiation of benefit-rich impacts throughout a list of clinical specialists, delivery settings and models throughout the globe. The mission and purpose of healthcare must remain optimisation of care to restore or enhance the health and wellbeing of individuals and populations. Yet always within increasing cost-conscious limitations along with needed smoothness of process steps and staging. These case studies illustrate how undertakings for EPR selection, implementation and even continuous improvement can and must be led by scientifically proven bases for decision-makers. We will review rationale and methodologies for developing optimal measurement criteria, analysing best data as evidence, interpreting findings, and continuously improving all thereafter. The Conference will provide a wonderful forum for you to refresh your knowledge base and explore the innovations in Medical Informatics & Telemedicine. The Conference will also strive to offer plenty of networking opportunities, providing you with the opportunity to meet and interact with the leading scientists and researchers, friends and colleagues.
See you in Prague. Let’s do this right.
