Ai Collodge, Gerome Morley & L WHITLOCK started Thursdayfor the Matoles, in Eastern Ore. They will be gone abouta month on an outing trip.
Mr & Mrs H WHITLOCK met with a serious accident Sun nightwhile returning from a sociable at Marquam. Ivan Ramshyriding a fractious horse plunged into the buggy. Thevehicle was upset and Mr & Mrs WHITLOCK rolled outunharmed, the buggy slightly damaged.
Frank WHITLOCK & Fred Krug bought two of the new Sharplesscream separators of P K Miller this week.

Absolom WHITLOCK is observing in a way that is abenefint to stock men. vfuile herding cattle one daythis week he noticed that the swallows were exceedinglynumerous all round and he finally discovered that theywere after the flies that so pester the stock at thistime of year. He says in about two hours nearly everyfly was gone. Boys, don't kill the birds.

a scaffold and whose recovery was for several daysdoubtful seems to be improving slowly and bids fair tofully recover although he is yet in rather a criticalcondition.

Miss Honstrum, a Salem nurse, who has been taking careof Columbus WHITLOCK since his fatal accident, returnedto Salem Monday. Mr WHITLOCK was removed to the homeof his sister, Mrs Lew Ames, last Sunday. He is greatlyimproved and will probably fully recover.
