Ruth and Toby live in the city. They always go to the playground to play basketball, but the playground is dirty. There's lots of rubbish. Ruth and Toby play alone because other children don't like going there.

Ruth and Toby put up a poster. They're looking for some children to help them clean up. Some big boys are watching them and laughing.

On Saturday, three children come to help them. They reuse the tyre and make a swing.Their new friends paint a hopscotch board on the ground. Suddenly, the big boyscome and start throwing rubbish at them. The children don't know what to do.

What do you want? We don’t want to clean the playground. We want to paint a mural.

The next Saturday, there's a big celebration at the playground. The mayor gives the children a big trophy.

The children eat biscuits and drink juice. What do they do with the plastic plates and cups? They put them in the recycling bins, of course!

Great job, all of you!

The boys paint a beautiful scene of a lake. After they paint, the children work together to pick up all the rubbish. They water the grass and plant some new trees.

The children think that it is a great idea. They decide to work together.
