Dates of keeping: December 7th – 9th, 2018

Conditions of access to participation:

Representatives of national federations, who have passed national qualifying

championships with calling in all interested groups of Kyokushin in a particular

country at the age from 12 to 17 years old with a style qualification not less than 6th

kyu and up to 3 fighters from each country in each weight category.

Financial conditions:

The entry fee will not be charged.

KWU covers the following charges:

- Accommodation of approved judges in double rooms of the accredited hotel from

December 4th to December 10th (full board)

- Accommodation for fighters in double rooms of the accredited hotel from

December 5th (start with dinner) to December 10th (full board)

- Lunch for fighters (December, 7th – December 9th)

- Flights Sofia – Varna – Sofia for judges approved by KWU;

- Transfer for fighters and approved judges along the route: Varna airport - hotel -

Varna airport, as well as hotel - sports hall - hotel in the days of the competition.

Applications for participation:

Deadline for preliminary applications (attachment № 1) up to October 1st, 2018

ATTENTION! The following documents shall be provided together with a

preliminary application:

1) photo in karategi (portrait photography in electronic form, jpeg format,

resolution not less than 300 dpi)

2) attachment № 3 - completed by each fighter

3) application for accommodation (attachment № 4)

4) group application for the whole delegation (attachment № 5)

The deadline for the final applications – November 1st, 2018 (Note: No final

application to be accepted if preliminary application was not submitted.) The final

application is sent by e-mail, it must contain all the necessary signatures and

stamps.

Applications are accepted only if filled in accordance with prescribed form

(Attachment № 1). The application must be signed by the presidents of the national

federations of the country, whose fighters are in the application.

Original applications (hard printed copy) with all necessary documents are brought

by the team representatives during the credentials committee.

General rules:

The competitions will be held by the rules of KWU, which are posted on the

official web-site: http://www.kwunion.com/documents/

Judges:

The official list of judges will be approved by KWU from among the accredited

judges of KWU and published on the official website - www.kwunion.com

Those wishing to attend the seminar from December 5th to December 6th 2017 in

Varna must apply via e-mail [email protected] with the indication "judging

seminar" in the subject line. All expenses are paid by the judges wishing to

participate.

Awards:

Terms of winning

Sports competitions in kumite are held on the system with elimination after one

defeat. Each weight category has two third places.

Awarding of champions and prizewinners

Champions and prize-winners (1st-3rd places) are awarded with medals and

diplomas as well as cups of corresponding grade.

Anti-doping control

Winners from 1st to 3rd places will go through doping test in accordance with the

rules of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

The age of the fighters is determined on the day of passing the credentials

committee, which is December 6th, 2018.

Obligations of fighters

During the credentials committee, leader of the team gives the original application

(hard printed copy), and each fighter must have the following documents with

him/her:

- Passport or birth certificate(for juvenile participants);

- allowance of sports medic to participate in competitions (in English);

- written permission to participate from both parents - attachment №2;

- agreement of insurance from accident, valid at the time of competitions

with a stamp (original, in English);

Protection:

Each fighter, allowed to participate in competitions, must have:

- white karategi and a belt, representing fighter’s qualification;

- individual groin shell: for boys– mandatory, for girls– voluntary;

- protectors for shin and insteps – mandatory for all;

- knee pads, elbow pads – mandatory for all;

- heandguards – mandatory for all;

- headgear– mandatory for all;

- chest protector of a standard type - for girls;

- gum shield (oral cavity protector), white colour – voluntary.

If there are brackets on teeth, gum shield is mandatory.

All protection items must have a mark of KWU.

All participants will have a possibility to purchase protection items before the

credentials commission.

ATTENTION. All protection items must be individual; each fighter must have

his own.

our child will respect them and that he/she has received all the necessary instructions.

We are aware that in case of injuries or other adverse circumstances and consequences

during and after 6th KWU Open Kyokushin Youth World Championship, we will bear the cost of our

child’s treatment and recovery, without having claims against the organisers of the competition,

judges, coaches, trainers and other officials and NPO “Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation” and

KWU.

This declaration, we issue with clear conscious and without foreign interference, fully

understanding that Kyokushin Karate is a contact sport with direct fighting and it is absolutely

possible for our child to receive injures and adverse consequences of them during participation in the

competition.

We confirm that our child does not use prohibited drugs and we give our agreement, if

necessary, for a doping sample to be taken and medical check to be done.
