Resolution passed by the Levi White Faculty on the

death of Mr. Robert E. Blount, Sr.

We the faculty of Levi White bow our heads in humble submission to the will of Almighty God , in the passing of our beloved principal, Mr. Robfi-*"" T 9*4. E. Blount. In his death, we have lost a dy namic leader, a wise counselor, a kindly man and a sincere friend.

With his magnetic personality, his rare gift of humorous expressions and his wisdom acquired through wide experiences, he was a dominant figure among his fellowmen.

Mr. Blount©s untiring energy made him a man of great insight. His unique method of using humor to convey pertinent ideas was a characteristic that we will forever cherish.

His deep appreciation for culture, and the beautiful, and his kindly leadership made it easy for his faculty to become his disciples.

It is known that he was influenced by a strong religious feeling and a deep love for his church, which was reflected in his life as a principal.

The best expression of our feeling is found in the words of Kipling©s "Dedication,"

He scarce had need to doff his pride orslough the dross of earth-

E©en as he trod that day to God so walkedhe from his birth

In simpleness and gentleness and honourand clean mirth.
