Hardware Mounting There are two ways to place the WID440. The first way is horizontally on a surface, so it sits on its bottom panel. The second way is to mount it on wall using the included mounting kit. WiD440 can be also attached to ceiling-mounted Projector using professional-grade Velcro. To wall mount the WID440 follow three simple steps: 1. Mount the bracket with the four included Philips screws. Make sure the insertion holes are facing up, as shown in the above picture. 2. Remove the bottom or top two rubber feet from the bottom panel and insert the two included flat head screws. 3. Mount the WID440 by inserting the flat head screws into the wall mount bracket insertion holes.
Display Connection. Connect VGA output of WiD440 into HD-15 VGA connector of LCD/Plasma display or Projector. Connect Audio output from WiD440 into speakers of display or audio system of mixer/amplifier.
Network Connection. If WiD440 needs to be on existing network for wireless connection or for internet, connect network cable to the RJ-45 connector.
Software Installation Depending on your network connection, get connected to the wireless or wired network in the facility. Open up web browser and type in the web-address shown on your display without http:// www. You will see webpage of WiD440 from where you click Download button next to OS of the connected computer. Run or Save the .exe or .dmg file. If saved then open the location and double-click
Check the exceptions, to see if there is WPS present in the list. If present then put a check-mark in front of it. When WPS application from WiD device or provided USB-stick (with WiD440 or WiD121 only) is installed the firewall exception is added and selected automatically unless there are group network policies preventing that. If WPS-Multimedia is not present the exception list, press the “Add Program” button to add it to the list and follow instructions.
Once WPS-Multimedia.exe is added from C:/Program Files/WPS-Video make sure it appears in Exception list and there is a check-mark in front of it. Click OK and start WPS application by double-clicking on WPS icon.
Checkpoint: Yes, from the Start menu on your desktop, select Run. The Run dialog box appears. Type cmd. Next, click OK or press enter. A command prompt will appear. Type ipconfig and press enter.
The IP configuration should now be displayed. Also from the command prompt, the IP configuration reset. Type ipconfig /release and press enter to disconnect, then type ipconfig /renew and press enter to reconnect. J) WPS Application and Windows Firewall There are three types of firewall that could stop WPS application of WiD series from not playing video in Video Playback mode or computer screen in Presentation mode:

Windows Firewall Please check the firewall in Control Panel->Windows Firewall If Firewall is OFF then there would not be problem in Video Playback.
Make sure your personal firewall allows WID440 software to pass through and complete installation by following on screen instructions.
After install the program, WPS shortcut will show on the desktop. Use this to project the screen to attached display. Or go to Program List and locate WPS. For Mac OS, open AirPort icon and search for available Wireless Networks. Locate a network with SSID WPS and connect to it. Install Mac OS WiD440 utility on your Mac by double-clicking on WiD440_ -Utility_for_MacOS_2008_ _ _ .dmg file. Run that under Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) or 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and follow instructions on screen to install. To project the computer screen open application WPS or click on the icon.
If you are unable to connect then Open DHCP settings in the AirPort setting (System Preference->Network->AirPort->Advanced->TCP/IP)
4. Operation 4.1 Client Utility After WiD440’s WPS-Multimedia utility is installed on Windows based PC or Mac OS based computers, Double click WPS icon on your desktop to execute the program. The utility will search for WID440 automatically; if WID440 is found then the “Login Code” dialog box will be pop up on the PC screen. If not found it means WiD440 and the connecting client computer are on different network (LAN or VLAN)., it will display in
the disconnected state and the “Reconnect” button will be shown for you to try again. Please make sure both WiD440 and connecting clients are on same network or VLAN. When WPS box appears on screen, enter IP address seen on Projector/Display screen and 4-digita login code to start..
Presentation Mode
Media Mode (video-audio playback)
When following WPS utility is seen on screen, press Play button in center to show full screen image. Press 1 through 4 to show in respective corner for Collaboration mode. The default resolution for WID440 is 1024x768 so if connected computer’s resolution is higher (up to 1600x1200) it will show following message to adjust computer screen size. Most instances Press Cancel so WID440 will scale or adjust itself rather than adjusting display settings of the connected computer.
When more than one WPS box is found on your wired network, select the correct WPS device and click OK.
If the computer is connected to different wireless device or if WID440 is not on same ip address range or subnet mask WID440 will fail to find WPS (WID440) box so correct it by connecting to WID440 network or putting on same network and then clicking the Reconnect button.
4.6 Admin Web Page
Click to open function menu and select “Web Admin” for the management web page to manage Network Settings or Video output settings, Change quality of image, make Plug&Show token and get current settings information.
5. Troubleshooting Teq AV/IT WID440 is easy to operate, however if you are receiving error messages or connection problems please check here.
Display Issues: A) Symptom: The quality of the image is not sharp. Checkpoint: If streaming wirelessly, check that the signal strength is Excellent or Good. This is verified by moving the cursor over the Wireless Network Connection icon in the
lower right-hand corner of the system tray. You may be too far from the Wireless Receiver or there may be a object or wall obstructing the radio waves. Click on Menu button on WPS utility and select Better Quality instead of Normal. B) Symptom: The displayed image appears to be cropped. Checkpoint: If the displayed image appears to be cropped, change the resolution of the transmitting PC in order to avoid this. The display resolution can be changed/verified by right-clicking on the desktop and selecting properties. From the Settings tab the resolution can be changed/ verified. C) Symptom: The image or video displayed is slow. Checkpoint: The quality of transmission depends largely upon the transmitting PCs CPU performance. Avoid running multiple applications simultaneously while streaming to maximize the CPUs performance. If streaming wirelessly, check that the signal strength is Excellent or Good. This is verified by moving the cursor over the Wireless Network Connection icon in the lower
right-hand corner of the system tray. The transfer rate may be slower in some operating environments depending on such factors as the location, radio signal conditions, and/or distances between transmitting PC and Wireless Receiver. WiD440 plays full motion video only using WPS-Video utility’s media mode. Supported format are MPEG1/2, DivX(3,4,5)/XviD (MPEG4), WMV9 and H.264 video files, and MP3 audio
Connection Issues: H) Symptom: How do I change or verify the IP settings? Checkpoint: IP configuration is made through Windows or the Wireless Cards utility program. I) Symptom: Can the Command Prompt be used to check the IP configuration?
