HOW TO VIEW THIS POWERPOINT

How to sign into to the 6.0 Universe

To access the 6.0 UniverseClick on this icon.

The first time you sign into the 6.0 Universe this screen opens up. Click close at this

point.

Once you close the previous screen, this screen will appear.

Insert the four digit pin # supplied to you into the PIN box.

Once you enter pin #. Press the “Enter “ key on the keyboard.

Then this screen opens and computer generates a new pin # . User must write new pin # down for future use. Place in a safe place. This # is confidential. No one in the Universe will have your pin #. Not only will this be your access # for accessing the 6.0 Universe, it will also be your # for co-signing and TAR. Select “Close” once you have written down your pin.

Once you close the previous screen, this screen will appear. The system automatically defaults the information into the required areas as below. Select “OK”.

After clicking OK this screen will appear. Your pin # has filed. You officially have access to the prestigious, all encompassing 6.0 Universe. Click “Close”.

Now when accessing the 6.0 Universe ,the system will automatically sign you in.

Select the drop down menu (arrow). Select (SHW.TEST60F)

The system will default you into the “Job” you were employed for. The “Job” field gives the user access to the needed areas to perform his or her job duties. If a user works other areas, he or she may have multiple “Jobs” assigned. As shown below, this user has access to All, ER RN, or OR RN. When this user signs into to the 6.0 Universe, her job defaults to “ALL”. However, if she came in to work ER, she would change her “Job” to “ER RN”. This Job would sign her into the ER with the access assigned to an ER RN.To sign on select “Sign On” or the “Enter” tab on the keyboard.

Your screen will be dependent on your assigned job. The first box indicatesThe type area the user has access to. The second box narrows the job description down more. The user may not see the first or second box. The assigned access may default the user to his or her desktop. Navigation of the 6.0 Universe will be covered in another PowerPoint. Please use your pin # that will be sent to your Outlook account to access the Universe. If you have any problem signing in using your assigned #, please place a work order with MIS. We will look to see what the problem is and assist you with sign on if needed.
