Colorful Crayon HeartsFill a room with love and
color with this easy-to-makecraft of translucent hearts. Hungin front of a window, thesehearts turn sunbeams intocolorful rays of happiness.
Ingredients:• 12-by-16-inch sheet of
waxed paper• Crayons• Pencil sharpener• Kraft paper• Iron and ironing board• Scissors• Ribbon or threadDirections:Fold the waxed paper in half
along its length and thenunfold. Deposit crayon shavings,made with a handheld pencilsharpener, evenly but not toothickly across one half of thepaper. Fold the clean half of thepaper over the shavings. Crimpthe three open edges with ahalf-inch fold to hold theshavings. Place a piece of kraftpaper on your ironing surface.Place the waxed paper on thekraft paper and cover it withanother piece of kraft paper.Iron lightly on medium heat,checking after every few passes.Stop when all the shavings havemelted; let cool. Next, trace andcut out hearts of various sizes.String each heart with a ribbonor thread for hanging.
