Dear Friends,
The Knights of Peter Claver and Ladies Auxiliary is hosting its Annual Gulf Coast District
Conference in Jackson, Mississippi at the Downtown Jackson Marriott on May 2-4, 2014.
I am writing to ask you to participate by placing advertisement in our annual souvenir booklet.
This is a remarkable opportunity to highlight your company or individual support among our
membership and people throughout the Southeast. The organization is very committed and
involved in the development of youth, promoting civic improvements in the community, and
social action throughout the nation.
The Knights of Peter Claver was founded November 7, 1909 in Mobile Alabama as an
organization to allow Black men membership into a Catholic fraternal society. The organization
was incorporated July 12, 1911 in Mobile, Alabama. With strong support of the Catholic Church
throughout the years, the organization now has over 700 subordinate units throughout the United
States and abroad. Presently headquartered in New Orleans, the organization is comprised of
over 17,000 members.
The Gulf Coast District Conference is comprised of units within Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia,
Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Cartagena in Colombia, South America.
Again, please consider advertising this year. I have enclosed a Souvenir Booklet Advertisement
Form to make easier selecting what works best for you.
Sincerely,
CARLTON A. ROBINSON
